Beautiful house in a picturesque location. We were very pleased that we were able to confirm this property with only 24 hours notice after our previously booked property cancelled at short notice. It had everything we needed, with some lovely walks right on the doorstep. Thanks!
Claire
Beautiful and well equipped cottage- it had everything we needed.
Michael
A very well appointed property. We were 9 adults, all very comfortably accommodated. And for a small village, Longnor is well served by a pub, Post Office and general store.
Lynette
Great cottage in a beautiful location. Well equipped kitchen for eating in, with well stocked local store next door. Local pub looked good, though we didnt get chance to try. Worked well for our extended family and with en suites or bathroom for each of the bedrooms would be great for a group of friends also. Highly recommend.
Gareth
A fantastic and comfortable holiday home set in a lovely quiet village location, but close to shops and a pub serving food, which makes this such an ideal location. Stayed for a long weekend and this cottage has everything you could ask for - well equipped, en-suites for every room, comfortable beds and a table/lounge that fits 12 comfortably. We rented the property for a family break with small children, teenagers and adults. There was plenty of room, the property was very clean, tidy, fully equipped and even has a hot tub now! There is a shop next door and a fish and chip shop. The nearby towns are great for evenings out, day trips and shopping. We did the Matlock Parkrun, Monsal Trail bike ride, Chatsworth, Water Park, Dovedale Stepping Stones, Alton Towers, watched Macclesfield Town FC, Heights of Abraham and meals in Buxton.
Franky
Super well equipped, comfy and a great location. Perfect!

What a weekend we had at the fabulous Horseshoe Inn. It was ideal for the 4 couples and 2 singletons. House was clean, bright and stocked with everything we needed. The 2 ovens & d/washers were a bonus for our big group. The beds were comfy and we loved the fun bathrooms in the top bedrooms. Welcome pack was very much appreciated especially the lem on curd, yum!. We were very lucky to perhaps be the first to use the hot tub and this was especially enjoyed by the men after a long bike ride.
Janice
Really enjoyed our stay in this lovely accommodation, top quality throughout,
Mark
Good location from which to explore the surrounding countryside and diverse visitor attractions either on foot or by car most within half an hours drive enjoying the scenery en route. Well equiped kitchen and accommodation with bedrooms to suit all ages.
Suzanne
Overall property was nice. Word of warning for the top floor bedrooms as the very low doors for the ensuite, although quirky, not great for adults. Parking not great as instructions say not to park outside, although the locals seem to think it's ok for them.
Stephanie
Absolutely amazing, loved the house and decor. Each bedroom very spacious and the en suites and bathroom fabulour, a reall bonus for 6 women. The location was great but the only disappointment was that the pub in the village had closed. Cannot recommend highly enough. Amazing and would definitely consider returning. Fabulous views and handy corner shop within 20 feet!
Russell
Stunning accommodation in a beautiful location plus a fabulous chippy on the doorstep.
Sue
Spotlessly clean house in quiet village location. Directions excellent. We were a group of adults and all rooms were comfortable. Quirky bathrooms in the attic bedrooms added to the charm. Spacious kitchen and living/dining area. Welcome pack was appreciated. Tea and coffee also. Overall a great cottage. Worth noting though that the pub in the vill age is currently closed/for rent.
Christopher
We had a fabulous week long stay over the Christmas holiday. This is a fantastic property in a great location. Facilities as described. It's a shame the village pub is closed, although we enjoyed the 3/4 mile walk to The Pack Horse Inn where they have a good selection of ales and decent food. Well stocked general store just across the road.
Julia
The accommodation was brilliant. Clean, welcoming, perfect for families or couples. We would love to stay again and have already recommended it to others.
Carol
Fabulous property equipped with all the comforts from home. All rooms great proportions. We were a group of 4 couples staying for a long weekend , no complaints at all. Scrupulously clean , no trouble parking. A great time had by all!
Jenni
Very well equipped cottage, lots of space. We went away as group of friends and having so many ensuite rooms and two dishwashers and massive fridge/freezer worked really well. Shame pub in village had shut but can recommend Royal Oak and Packhorse Inn nearby
James

Linda
Its a lovely big house, well appointed and in a great position. Even though there twelve of us its a very quiet house and we had a h great week there.
Catherine
A lovely house to stay in. We appreciated all the en suite bathrooms and the two dishwashers! It worked well for three families of adults and children. The children enjoyed the separate TV room with table football. Beautiful and clean and lovely fresh linen too. Thank you!
Deborah
We had a really great time staying at this house. Three generations, so it was great to have six bedrooms and six bathrooms. The house is better in real life than in the pictures. Although there was no parking it was easy to park in the Village Square and on the side roads. Everything was top spec which was much appreciated. Being keen cooks we cou ld have done with a bit more equipment on the cooking front, but there are loads of plates and bowls et cetera. Would definitely recommend this house.
Sally
great location and accommodation. Much better than pictures, and ideal for big family/friends get to get together. Close to a local store for all essentials, great parking and beautiful scenary

Very nice house. Good location for Peak District walks, handy pub and fish and chip shop too!
Emma
3 generations (11 of us) rented the property for my 50th and had a fabulous time. Furniture of an excellent quality, extremely comfy beds and plenty of crockery/glassware. Great location for exploring Staffordshire and Derbyshire. A lovely bunch of flowers, box of chocolates & prosecco had been left, which was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend . Emma
Rose
Loved the property, excellent facilities and a great house for kids, lots of room for everyone.
Trevor
Second time here. Plenty of space and a well equipped kitchen. Great place to stay with a large family group. Especially with the games room for the kids.
Zoe
We had such a lovely stay at the Horseshoe Inn. Its so comfortable and well equipped for groups of friends and families. We loved the fact that every room has an en-suite and the spacious open plan downstairs worked really well for us. Longnor is a beautiful village in the centre of the Peak District so the cottage is ideally placed for exploring. We would 100% recommend!
Irena
As a group of 9, we had an excellent week. Good facilities, including two dishwashers (excellent idea) and a washerdryer. Plenty of space....good big dining table and separate games room with additional TV. Very useful for a large family to get together but still have their 'own' space. With the COVID issues, ensuite in every bedroom was particular ly beneficial. Excellent holiday had by all.
Manon
Pretty and clean. Perfect place for a group of families or friends to meet up for a weekend. We particularly appreciated that all the bedrooms were of similar sizes, and the children loved the games room. Well located in a beautiful village with easy driving to the surrounding areas. Customer service / response was really good as well. We experienc ed a problem with the drainage while we were there, and it was taken care of within 2 hours.
Elizabeth
Perfectly located accommodation for large groups. We spent a weekend with friends celebrating joint birthdays. Plenty of local walks right on the doorstep. Short drive from Bakewell & Buxton. Local pub The Cheshire Cheese very warm & welcoming, a stones throw from the cottage. Accommodation itself is very well equipped. Plenty of wine & prosecco gl asses to go round. Bedrooms all spacious and beds comfortable. Only one room is without an ensuite, but benefits from its own bathroom with roll top.
June
Fantastic house in a great location. Beautifully appointed with every comfort thoughtbof
Claire
We stayed for the weekend, for bday celebrations, lovely house, rooms were comfortable and clean. House is spacious there were 10 of us, plenty of room, pub up the road, lovely location would highly recommend!
